Welcome

Hello Everybody

Hi my name is Bryce and I am in third grade with Mrs. Yollis. I am really excited to have my own blog because now I get to blog more than I used to. I can't wait to blog with you! Even some friends that don't live around here get to communicate with me now. My hobbies are sports, typing, reading, and obviously blogging.  My blogging goals are to keep people connected. Sadly right now I have a broken toe to deal with.  I have to wear a cumbersome walking boot for three more weeks!

If you have any tips for my blog please tell me.

Have you ever broken a bone? If so, what bone did you break?

I can't wait to hear about you!

  1. Dear Bryce,

Neat blog! Now, as an experienced blogger, I know that having a blog is a lot of work. Do you think you can handle it?

In the picture above, are you in the green/gray or the very light blue?

I am very excited to collaborate with you! Do you remember that post we did on my blog together, that was fun? My Sports Card Collection!

I have never broken anything, but my brother Wyatt has. He broke his tibia, the lower bone in your leg. He was in a cast for about 7 weeks and 4 weeks in a boot.

I think your blog is pretty cool. Especially that poll, what's you favorite sports team. I voted for the Los Angeles Clippers.

    Welcome to blogging!

    Your friend,

    Peter

    1. Dear Peter,

I think I can handle having my own blog, but we only have about ten days left so I have to get a few posts in before the school year runs out. I think you know the answer to that question about which one am I, but I will still answer. I am the one in the green and gray (aka Celtics) and I am about to reject a shot from somebody on the Thunder.

I do remember when we did that collaboration at your house, and I want to comment on that again. Ouch, that has to hurt. I have also broken my funny bone (not so funny) while jumping off a trampoline.

I would have voted for the LA Kings, but if they were not there I would vote for the Clippers.

      Sincerely,

      Bryce

    Dear Bryce,

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. Congratulations on earning your own blog and for winning Family Blogging Month!

Your photo above looks outstanding because it is an action shot, and it doesn't reveal any personal information.

You asked if anyone has ever broken a bone. Some of us have: Emilyn, Sheila, Nate, Peter, Aashi, Nick, and Roxy.

What basketball team are you one? Have you ever won a championship?

What other sports do you play?

When did you start playing basketball?

    From your friends,

    Mrs. Yollis' class

    1. Dear Mrs. Yollis and Class,

Thank you. It took me a long time to find the right picture. That is a lot of people who have broken bones. Which bone did you break? How did you do it?

In the picture above I am on the Celtics. I had a very good team this year, but did not win the championship. I have one friend who was on the winning team. You may recognize some players on my team. You may know Lucas in Mrs. Ranney's class and Bennett who is in Mrs. Wilson's class.

I also play baseball, and currently my team is in second place with an 11 and 6 record. Last year while playing baseball I was drafted on to the Western Allstars in my league.

If I remember correctly, I started playing basketball when I was five, and started baseball when I was four.

      Sincerely,

      Bryce

  3. Dear Bryce,

Congratulations on having your own blog! You must be so excited.

You asked about broken bones. I've broken a toe - twice! It really hurt! The doctor told me I had to be on crutches one of the times. I couldn't wear high heels either! Today that part wouldn't bother me very much. Once when we were building our pool about 35 years ago, I walked outside BAREFOOT and stubbed my toe on a spike in the ground. The next time I woke up in the middle of the night and stubbed my toe on a table. In both cases, it didn't take too long to realize that I hadn't stubbed my toe; I had broken my toe! My recommendation is don't go barefoot!

As for sports, I am so proud of you for participating in athletics the way you do. As you know all too well, I'm not that co-ordinated, so most sports were not my thing. But there was one that I really, really loved. That was swimming. In fact, when I was in high school and college, I was a lifeguard at a state beach. There were many times when I had to pull people out of the water. Once I even saved someone's life. I loved the water and how it made me feel. I felt like I could glide through the water and all the troubles in the world were gone. It made me feel calm and peaceful, even when I was racing. I know that you swim. How does it make you feel?

Once again, congratulations, Bryce. It's going to be so much fun following your blog.

    Love,
    Gaga

    1. Dear Gaga,

It's going to be fun now that you are following the blog. I knew that you were a lifeguard, but I didn't know you saved someone's life. How did you do that?

Swimming is incredible and makes me feel peaceful, too. The thing I like best is playing in the water. What's really great is that we have a water basketball hoop at your house and at mine.

Do you have any water games that you like? Does Bubbe know how to swim?

      Sincerely,
      Bryce
